I cannot believe how hot it is lately! The kind of weather is the deciding factor on the kind of dressing. I wanted to wear pants on Saturday, with a chiffon top, but with the kind of heat wave going around, that idea was madness! In the end I had to settle for a strappy dress.
I wanted to wear a normal Tee for a family outing today, but again, the heat wave made me put on a tank top. With this kind of humidity and heat, how I wish I can go around naked and dump myself in cold water the whole day!

The weather's been pretty erratic lately. When it was to have rained in December and January, the skies were pretty clear and cloudy, with hardly any trace of rain. Now it is March, almost April, and sheets of rain comes down in torrents like thunderstorms. It is as if Odin is pissed about something and venting his temper at us!
Everyone is getting sick. A lot of my friends have fallen sick, and I told them to take care so as to get well on time for a party I'm organising. People are strong in any case, so despite all the junk food, late nights and fun, everyone manages to recover pretty quickly!

Once, the lights and television started blinking before going out completely. Everything came back after a few seconds.
Twice, the lights and television just fizzled out. Everything came back again after a few seconds.
The third time, the lights and television just went out simultaneously, but nothing came back after a few seconds. After fiddling with the main switch, things started flickering and fizzing back.
Three strikes, and you are out!

I'm leaving for Japan tomorrow morning. While the rest of you will be in sunny (or rainy) weather, I will be freezing my buns off in snowy weather. In any case, have a Merry Christmas and a happy New Year ahead!

1. It is not how much you wear, but what you wear.
2. Comfort and practicality takes precedent over fashion and vanity.
3. Thermal underwear is indispensable.
4. The material should be made of wool or cashmere, anything that is wool related to be kept warm.
5. Thick cotton material suffice too. Don't bother with polyester.
6. Track shoes are not advisable. Shoes should be suede or leather hiking boots.
7. Thermal underwear, a woollen turtleneck, a fur-lined jacket / sweater / trench coat and pants / jeans, gloves, hat and normal boots are all it takes to look stylish, yet warm and comfy for a day out in the snow.
8. Leather gloves are better than woollen gloves.
9. A hat comes in handy to keep the snow off your ears and hair.
10. Slather on lots and lots of moisturising cream to prevent peeling. A runny lotion is too mild for winter conditions.
11. Vaseline is the best lip balm to prevent chapped lips.
12. Use lots of hand and leg cream to prevent dryness and frostbite.

It has been a few weeks of heavy rainstorms off and on. Apparently, this is the wettest and coolest March in seventy-four years. The climate is getting crazy indeed, with the seasons being pretty messed up in the temperate areas. Thus, please lend support to the environment and the children at the same time from 1st April onwards, at all Jollibean outlets except, CK Tang, Lot 1, Harbour Front Centre, People's Park and Tanjong Pagar MRT!
