For some reason, I always prefer Christmas and New Year to Lunar New Year. Christmas signifies the start of the festive season, happy holidays, where everyone is jolly. It is the season of love and of dreams coming true. New Year signifies a new year full of new hopes and wishes anew.
Lunar New Year signifies the end of the month of festive season. It is like the end of the holidays, and there will not be another one until Good Friday and Easter. Thus I approach Lunar New Year with mixed feelings, that the celebrations have come to a close and we have to stop being in the holiday mood and start being serious all over again!
